Is Arkansas a Violent State?
FBI has Arkansas listed as the top state for violent crime rate, 5th for property crime. Why? Little Rock is a big part of this statistic. Arkansas has now seen some of the highest rates of violent and property crime in the United States.

The data from the Federal Bureau of Investigation show the rate of Arkansas was 709 per 100,000 state residents, ranking it higher than any other state in the nation.
The state is also ranked fifth Nationally for property crime, Colorado being number one. Arkansas has the statistics of 2,647 crimes per 100,000 people. The highest ranking for Arkansas comes despite a 43% drop in property crime between 1991 and 2020 in the state.
Southern and western states generally have high violent crime rates, while northeastern have the lowest.
